The closing date for entries for the 2014 FÍS Film Festival is Monday, 30th June 2014 so get cracking with those cameras!

 

FÍS is a successful film project currently thriving in primary schools across Ireland.

The initiative encourages children to explore the medium of film in the primary classroom developing essential skills in moving-image literacy, communication, teamwork, visual arts and even numeracy … oh yes, and it's also lots of fun!

Organised jointly by PDST Technology in Education and Dun Laoghaire Institute for Art, Design & Technology (IADT), the FÍS initiative culminates each year in the annual FÍS Film Festival. The closing date for entries for 2014 is 30th June at 5pm.FÍS also offer an online course designed in such a way that corresponds to the complete production cycle of making a film. It is also available as an app for iPad and iPhone.

Entries are now being accepted for the 2014 FÍS Film Festival. This year’s closing date is Monday, 30th June 2014 so plenty of time still for classes to script, design, plan and shoot a short film. Looking forward to seeing more entries than ever this year … so get cracking with those cameras!
