Scoilnet Maps Scoops the Special Achievement in GIS Award

Scoilnet Maps has been recognised by Esri Inc as this year's Winner of the Special Award in GIS (SAG) for Ireland. The awards ceremony took place July 10th at the San Diego Convention Centre.

Scoilnet Maps has been recognised by Esri Inc as this year's Winner of the Special Award in GIS (SAG) for Ireland.  The awards ceremony took place July 10th at the San Diego Convention Centre.

Esri Ireland have congratulated Karin Whooley and the team at Scoilnet Maps on their award and for using GIS to improve the classroom experience for both pupils and teachers alike.

Scoilnet Maps provides teachers and students in Irish schools with online access to detailed Ordnance Survey Ireland maps as well as world mapping. A range of curriculum-relevant GIS data layers are also viewable. Scoilnet Maps is available in all primary and post-primary schools on the Schools Broadband Network. Teachers can also access from home by using their Scoilnet account sign-in.
