For the fifth year running Google are inviting Irish students to create their own doodle by taking part in the Doodle 4 Google competition!  This year's theme is 'My invention....'.

Now in its 59th year. Seven different categories, including one for special needs students. Cash prizes. Closes 22 Febuary 2013.


AILO 2013

Registration for the 2013 season of the All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad (AILO) is now open.

This year’s competition promises to be bigger and better than ever, as AILO continues to grow in popularity with secondary school students and teachers alike.


Odysseus contest

The Odysseus contest is a pan-European competition aimed at pupils aged 14 to 18 from schools around the European Union. The contest is designed to challenge talented young people on the themes of the Solar System, Spaceship global cooperation and Co-evolution of life.


Medea Awards 2012

The 9 finalists for the 2012 Annual MEDEA Awards were announced on 22 October 2012.  In addition to the finalists, the Organising Committee also announced 15 entries that are Highly Commended, which included an Irish entry "Child's Play: An Educational Issue", by Deirdre Shelly.


U4energy National Winners announced

For the second year in a row, participants from across Europe and beyond have submitted a myriad of inspiring and witty energy efficiency projects. National winners in all categories have been announced and invited to the European Awards Ceremony in Brussels on 26 November 2012. European winners and finalists will be announced at the ceremony.
