News, Information and Problems of False Information

False information can spread rapidly online, often taking advantage of times of uncertainty. Help students to learn how to determine if what they are seeing, reading or hearing online is accurate and reliable using Module 2 of the Connected resource. Students will analyse the problems and potential consequences associated with the spread of false information, and will identify and evaluate ways to avoid false information in social and academic settings.

The Connected resource also includes modules addressing online wellbeing; big data and the data economy; and young people’s rights online.
