Each group then presented on PowerPoint, PicCollage or MindMap. She explains how her class are very engaged when ICT is used.

    Interview with Teacher about the use of ICT as a revision tool in her Business Class. The class engaged with online quizzes. They created their own quizzes and then challenged their peers to complete them. She also discusses the benefits of ICT to differentiation in the classroom.

  • Tionscnamh Stop Motion i mBunscoil

    A 4th class teacher describes how he uses technology for project work. The children use netbooks and iPads for research. The Stop Motion app is used for animation. This involved planning, scripting, filming, artwork and editing. The projects are then uploaded to Dropbox and played on the interactive whiteboard.

    A principal describes the various ways his school uses digital resources. For communication Skype is used between staff. For teaching and learning, the infant classroom uses the website www.Leighleat.com to teach the phonics programme. Older classes engage in coding lessons and applications such as Stop Motion and Kahoot.

    A school Principal describes how digital resources are used in history lessons through the Scoilnet and Dúchas websites.     A 4th class teacher describes how she uses the quiz game Kahoot to assess learning in English, Irish and Maths. The children use a laptop to input questions and answers. Children partake in these quizzes using iPads. This provides the teacher with useful data about what the children have learnt.
