A teaching Principal describes how pupils engage with, and create their own digital book as part of a construction themed lesson. The lesson starts with a reading lesson and then develops into voice recordings of the pupils using the app Pro Show Gold. Other apps which have similar functionality include Adobe Express and Animoto. Integration of mulitiple curricular subjects is supported when conducting this type of lesson as well as problem solving and assesment. The teacher discribes how as a result of this type of lesson she can pinpoint exactely where the child’s reading level is set.
